Top Trail Hire & Tours makes it easy to ride the Pou Herenga Tai – Twin Coast Cycle Trail, New Zealand’s northernmost Great Ride. From our base in Kaikohe (the highest point on the trail) we provide bike hire, shuttle transfers and self-guided tour packages so you can ride the trail your way.

The 87 km Twin Coast Cycle Trail links the Bay of Islands and Hokianga Harbour, taking riders through farmland, native bush, historic rail corridors and some of New Zealand’s earliest Māori and European settlements. Smooth trail surfaces and gentle gradients make the ride suitable for most ages and abilities, with many sections riding downhill from our Kaikohe base to either coast.
