Family Riding
The Pou Herenga Tai Twin Coast Cycle Trail requires Moderate fitness, when heading west, there is a short section 1.2 kms from Okaihau dropping down into the Utakura Valley is grade 3, with the majority grade 1 and 2. It offers easy riding and suitable to families – we offer tagalongs, toddler seats for the kids not quite old enough to go alone – for those in the in between time that may not manage the downhill 40+ kms there is the Trail and Tunnel taster.
