The Pou Herenga Tai Twin Coast Cycle Trail requires Moderate fitness, when heading west, there is a short section 1.2 kms from Okaihau dropping down into the Utakura Valley is grade 3, with the majority grade 1 and 2.

It offers easy riding and suitable to families. We have recently Nov 25 bought a new fleet of Childrens bikes.

• Children – standard bikes  $40 per day – 14 and under
• Children – Ebike $80 per day. Child 14 and under – 10 years old or min 130cm height.
• Toddler seats for the kids not quite old enough to go alone
• Helmets are provided with all bike hire and are no extra charge.

For those ages in the in between time that may not manage the downhill 40+ kms there is the Trail and Tunnel taster, perfect for the younger family groups.
