PRICING STANDARD SHUTTLE BYO (Bring your own) bike

CYCLING WEST  – Standard pick up time is 3 pm at Mangungu Mission in Horeke – a map will be emailed with your confirmation once you have booked.

CYCLING EAST  –  The Scheduled Shuttle is Ōpua Marina Cafe Carpark to Kaikohe Base – 4:15pm pick up – your bike included – this is timed to coincide with the 3.25 pm cycle Train connection between Taumarere Station and the Whangae Tunnel platform. YOU MUST BOOK THE TRAIN SEPARATELY (Link below).

N.B – This product doesn’t operate every day in the quieter season. If there is no train running the scheduled shuttle pick-up will be Kawakawa at 3pm

More details – Cycle to Taumarere station – 3kms past Kawakawa, 3kms past Kawakawa, meet the train there. We recommend that you depart Kawakawa by 2.50pm to be sure you get to the Taumarere station on time.

MEET AT TAUMARERE AT 3.20 PM FOR  TRANSFER BY TRAIN TO WHANGAE STATION – you ride your bike to the station and then put it on the train enjoy a 30 minute scenic train journey along the Waikare esturary to Whangae station – get off the train and ride the last 2.5 kms to Opua to meet our shuttle at 4.15 pm.

Marina Cafe Carpark is your pick-up point – 26 Baffin Street, Opua Marina.

If you do not pre-book the train there is no guaranteed space for you, (it is very quick and easy to complete just click on the link).  If you have any issues with booking the train contact the Bay of Islands Vintage Railway direct.

• Adults – $75 pp 
• Children (14 and under) $45  pp

Full trail Shuttle from one Coast to the other Coast – Pick up timed with one schedule shuttle pick up

• $155 pp Horeke to Kawakawa/Opua – OR vice versa – in one trip

SPECIAL SHUTTLE PRICES – SPECIAL TRIPS OUTSIDE SCHEDULED SHUTTLE PICK UP TIMES

Half trail – Mangungu / Horeke – Kaikohe or Kawakawa/Opua to Kaikohe (or vice versa) – No set time

• $90 pp HALF Trail
• $45 

Full Trail – Coast to the other Coast – no set time

• $175 Horeke to Kawakawa/Opua in one trip
• $85 per child

SINGLE PERSON TRAVELLING – SPECIAL SHUTTLES OUTSIDE SCHEDULED SHUTTLE PICK-UP TIMES Same as price above BUT – Price as 2 pax

Baggage transfers

• $100 minimum per half of the trail – up to 4 bags
• $10 per bag thereafter

Panniers – $10 per pannier
