Twin Coast Cycle Trail

The Twin Coast cycle trail is a new cycle trail being developed in Northland as part of the  a series of trails under construction in New Zealand.  Ultimately it will stretch from Horeke at the head of the Hokianga harbour on the west coast to Kawakawa and on to Opua , Bay of Islands in the east.

When fully developed the trail will be eighty kilomerers long and will pass through four rural towns as well as farms, native bush and encompass wonderfull scenery, a lake and historic rail  tunnels.

Currently we are offering a trailride on the first sections of trail which have opened since mid 2011.  These consist of 20kms of trail from just south of Kaikohe through to Okaihau , both inland rural towns.  Both towns have cafe and food options along with other attractions. You will pass through an 80metre long tunnel,and ride past a lake.

The ride is considered to be easy. It is built on a decommissioned railway corridor and has no steep bits.  We supply you with a quality modern cycle and you can ride at your own pace.

We supply bycycle and helmet.
