Twin Coast Cycle Trail Northland
Pou Herenga Tai from south of Kaikohe to Okaihau. Its gentle gradient and smooth surface makes it an easy ride for cyclists of all ages and fitness levels. This section of the cycleway is built on an old rail corridor is 25 kilometres long and features an 80m rail tunnel dating back to 1915.
It passes through the heartland of the Far North giving you extensive rural views out to the Hokianga in the west, Lake Omapere and farmland to the east. Cycling time is two to three hours and there are resting places and photographic opportunities all along the trail.
We pick you up in Paihia and take you to Kaikohe,where we fit you out with bike and helmet drop you off at the start of the trail and pick you up at the end. You set the pace.
We also offer straight Cycle Hire. You can call in to our Kaikohe depot and pick up your cycle. We have secure parking at our depot and can provide transport to and from various locations on the trail.
Our cycles are all modern Giant brand Trailglide and Bolder cycles in a variety of sizes in both mens womens and childrens models. We have step through cycles for women and all have gel seats for your comfort.

We have B&B Accommodation available in a quiet rural setting not far from Kaikohe. A modern self contained, detached one bedroom unit can be booked or we can sort out accommodation to suit your requirements anywhere in Paihia, Kerikeri or general trail area .
